A Dance with the Fae Prince by Elise Kova is second book in the Married to Magic series. This story was amazing! I was so glad to get back to Midscape. After completing A Deal with the Elf King I never thought Elise Kova can make me love a book more, however she proved me wrong. Despite the story happens in same world, Midscape, it’s not a sequel of A Deal with the Elf King. A Dance with the Fae Prince is an independent story with a slow burn romance and extraordinary characters probably inspired by Cinderella and the stories of Psyche and Eros.
Katria is a young lady in a bit of a Cinderella situation. Left under the care of her oppressive stepmother after her dad’s vanishing, she’s presently being married off to the most elevated bidder. At the point when she is sold into marriage, she is determined to make a superior life for herself. Getting in love was not part of that plan. But, here comes Davien, the spouse that makes not getting in love very challenging for her. However, things aren’t by and large comfortable between the two as he’s rarely home, and when he will be, he favours that his new lady doesn’t look at him.
Katria is also asked to comply with specific guidelines in her new home, the main one being stay in her room around evening time. There’s an explanation he requested that from her and Katria being Katria, obviously she didn’t abide by that rule! Things get fascinating once she breaks that rule, and everything soon changes for the two of them.
I liked the slow burning relationship between them. Katria required space to heal and find herself and Davien gave her the space she needed. I think as a couple they had an ideal balance and offered the help both of them required.
A Dance with the Fae Prince by Elise Kova is a magical read. It is a story about an unforgettable couple set in a lovely world that I can’t wait to get back to. I highly recommend this book to anybody wanting to read happily ever after fantasy story.
