Here With Me By Samantha Young is the first novel in a contemporary grown-up ADAIR FAMILY romantic series. It revolves around the Adair siblings of the Scottish Highlands. This is previous Hollywood action hero Lachlan Adair, and 28 year old, previous Boston cop turned photographer Robyn Penhaligon’s story line. Samantha Young has written another exceptionally awesome novel. I was hooked from the first page to the last. Although this is a bit lengthy novel. I honestly could not get enough of this extraordinary and multi-layered story. Realizing I would get an engaging romance was guaranteed. This is Samantha Young after all we are discussing. But, imagine my astonishment and happiness at how an unsettling mystery concerning the Adair home along with the reunion between a dad and daughter would add a richness that was beyond magnificent.
My addiction to this novel is overwhelming. Lachlan and Robyn begin like oil and water. But, wow, even from their first introduction, there was no uncertainty these two had a solid reaction to the other that would just get more explosive with time. The way that both are stubborn and solid-willed just energized the fire between them. I cherished the two of them gave as much as they got. They didn’t withdraw despite the fact that Lachlan was Hollywood royalty and Robyn was his dearest friend’s daughter.
Furthermore, when the desire was a lot to overlook, the enthusiasm was off the charts spectacular. These two have a chemistry that is amazing and evident. Although there is a huge load of push and pull and hesitation on both of their parts. I could just expect they could get their heads out of their proverbial arses and take hold of love that is simply too magnificent to resist.
Robyn’s inclination to help discover the individual answerable for terrible and shocking events at Lachlan’s exclusive club, Ardnoch. This settles her considerably more deeper into her estranged dad’s life and that adds a much more personal reason for her to expand her visit in Scotland. Young’s use of her home as the background to this book is once again cheerfully welcomed by me. The sights and sound of this mind-blowing country add the correct touch of charm and beauty to an already enthralling read.
There is much happening as Robyn and Mac rebuild their cracked father-daughter relationship and those strong moments made me cry. The progressing investigation into all of the horror, that continues to present those nearest to Lachlan just brought Mac and Robyn closer together. Their training coming into play and giving Mac considerably more motivation to be glad for his wee bird.
Here With Me By Samantha Young is recommended reading and ticks all of the boxes for me as a reader. The unsettled reunion, the fiery romance, and the whodunnit all add up to an extraordinary experience that I can’t recommend highly enough. It is simply awesome.
