He appeared first in March 1941 as Winter Soldier in captain America. His character is introduced as a friend of Steve Roges’ who goes for WW2. In the latter half his character is given an arch where he is shown to be a lot more than the Captain’s sidekick. Over the years he has transformed into an anti-hero character.
