“Being hurt only makes me need you more.” My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey is cramped up with fascinating and most-read tropes such as murder mystery, age gap, witty banter, social media influence, small-town setting, and more. Trust me, you are going to read about the best “opposites attract” couples after a long time. A perfect summer read to appease you with a bit of romance and mystery.

The main characters Taylor and Myles have sizzling chemistry and you will get it throughout the book. Taylor has a great sense of humor and certainly a likable nature. Although she perceives herself as a responsible and serious adult, the truth is something else however in a good way. Taylor is a very romantic person at heart and she does not feel coy about her wants.  She is the quintessential elementary school teacher, but at the same time not so typical. However, she has always played safe when it comes to dating. Her obsession with real-life crime podcasts makes her a bit quirky.

On the other hand, Myles has a grumpy personality. He plays the role of a brash bounty hunter who has arrived to catch the killer. Yes, the murder Mystery begins when Taylor discovers a corpse in their rental house. Although Myles reminds himself that he is here for a job, however, it becomes readily impossible to stay away from Taylor. Myles is the grump to Taylor’s sunshine heart, which means that Myles is soft by heart. He is more romantic than Taylor. I mean could he fall for her anymore? He is honest and kind and gives off the soft guy at heart throughout the book.

If you are fond of young adult fiction, stay rest assured that Myles is going to be your next favorite character. Some of his lines will certainly make you feral. You are going to be a fan of this couple – they are honest and always openly communicate with each other.

The side characters were amazing in their roles, although there are very few of them. Jude, Taylor’s brother deserves special mention for being the best brother and best friend of his sister. You are going to love this sister-brother duo for sure.

In today’s busy and distracting world, we want to keep up with the habit of reading daily. What can be better than a fast-paced book, right? Tessa Bailey offers you just that. One of the good features of this book is that it is easy to read, it is fast-paced, has a dual point of view, and you are unlikely to have a dull moment. The romance that My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey offers will give you butterflies and the murder Mystery will keep you intrigued.
