The Return by Nicholas Sparks is an elegantly composed, charming and touching story of a naval surgeon who is sent home subsequent to being seriously harmed by a deadly blast while working in Afghanistan.

Trevor Benson has PSTD otherwise called post-traumatic stress disorder, he battles with ‘the darkness’ since his wounds were so serious from the blast that went off while he was outside the medical clinic he worked at.

Trevor returns to New Bern, North Carolina to recuperate and to take responsibility for granddad’s old lodge, which needs some repairing and he additionally plans to return to clinical school to study psychiatry.

In New Bern he appreciates caring for the beehives on his granddad’s property and he also finds himself quickly attracted to the local deputy sheriff Natalie. Might she be able to have similar sentiments yet she is keeping them down? What Mystery is Natalie hiding?

Trevor additionally meets Callie, a sullen young teenager who evidently used to be companions with his granddad. He trusts Callie can assist him with discovering more about his dad’s passing yet she is by all accounts concealing something and wants to keep to herself.

I truly liked The Return, it was a calming, romantic read with a secret. I found the honey bee keeping a piece of the story fascinating and useful additionally, it makes me need to have a bee hive!
