Tower of God” captivated anime fans with its unique storyline and engaging characters when it first premiered in 2020. Adapted from the popular webtoon by SIU, the series follows Bam as he navigates the treacherous challenges within the mysterious tower to reunite with his friend Rachel. With “Tower of God” Season 2 on the horizon, here’s a detailed look at what to expect, including the release date, time, and where to watch.

Tower of God – Season 1 Recap

The first season of “Tower of God” aired from April 1, 2020, to June 24, 2020, and comprised 13 episodes. It introduced us to Bam, an “Irregular” who enters the tower to find Rachel. The tower is filled with complex tests and dangerous challenges, overseen by various administrators. Season 1 culminates in a shocking betrayal when Rachel pushes Bam off a ledge, leaving him for dead. However, Bam survives and resolves to continue his ascent.

Tower of God – Season 2 Plotline

Season 2 will adapt significant arcs from the webtoon, specifically the “Return of the Prince” and “Workshop Battle” arcs. Bam, now using the alias Jyu Viole Grace, is forced to join a criminal organization called FUG. His mission becomes darker as he is tasked with assassinating those who oversee the tower. This season will introduce new characters, including Ja Wangnan, Urek Marion, and Karaka, as Bam’s journey takes on a more complex and intense direction.

Release Date and Time

According to an announcement by @animetv_jp on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Tower of God” Season 2 is slated for release on July 6, 2024. This exclusive premiere will take place during Anime Expo 2024, where fans will get a first look at episodes 1 and 2. The premiere event is scheduled to be held in the Diamond Ballroom at the JW Marriott at 5:45 p.m. Pacific Time​​.

Where to Watch

While the exact date for the general release on Crunchyroll remains undisclosed, the July premiere at Anime Expo suggests that the wider release will follow soon after. Crunchyroll, which streamed the first season, will also stream the second season exclusively. For fans outside the U.S., Crunchyroll can be accessed using a VPN service to bypass regional restrictions​.

Cast and Characters

The main voice cast from Season 1 is expected to return, including:

  • Taichi Ichikawa as Bam
  • Saori Hayami as Rachel
  • Akira Sekine as Anaak Jahad
  • Houchu Ohtsuka as Headon
