The Final Twist By Jeffery Deaver is an action-packed adventure. This Novel is third in a series featuring Colter Shaw. Starts as the self-explained “reward seeker” is trying to follow clues left by his dead father, Ashton. He was a well-educated man, and he left mainstream life to opt for a survivalist existence, with Colter’s mother Mary Dove and their kids. For many years, Ashton battled against what he viewed as corrupt corporations, including one named BlackBridge Corporate Solutions. One of that organization’s representatives, it appears, not just turned up proof of some sort of serious wrongdoing, however stole it; that man, presently dead, apparently hid that proof and Colter hopes to discover it.
However, just before his investigation begins, Colter is attacked by some exceptionally bad guys. Very close to be killed and carrying the series to an unexpected end, he’s saved by a man who ends up being his brother Russell. That comes as a shock to Colter, who hasn’t seen or heard from his brother in over 10 years. Both of them getting together after this time and getting to re-know one another is a major part of the plot that follows.
As this is shorted out, Colter gets a task on his normal day job, which is to find a missing person. This time, it’s a girl who has disappeared. The prize money is less – the mother can only arrange $1,750 – yet he sympathizes and agree to take the case. Rest of all is action, all highlighted by flashbacks to the serious, hard-core survival training the brothers got from their late dad.
Characters that are determined, strong and one Colter Shaw that will not give up until the answers are found. Will Russell stay in his life? Find it yourself by reading this outstanding novel by author Jeffrey Deaver. Also learn what happens to Tessy, does he find what Amos hid and what is the shocking uncover at the end. The Final Twist By Jeffery Deaver is an exciting, well-written novel with an entertaining story and intriguing characters that left me looking forward to the next book in series.
