And a Top Interpreter may get about or more than 10 to 12 lakhs per annum. A freelancer can earn around 50k to 60k per assignment and an experienced senior writer might receive more than that.

Information Technology Enabled Service, Outsourcing, and the offshoring industry have brought several job opportunities based on foreign language proficiency making good scope in foreign languages for students. The salary of a foreign language expert is usually 25% to 40% higher than their English-speaking counterpart.
