Amazon has officially announced the release date for Season 2 of Gen V, the hit spinoff series set in The Boys universe. Alongside the news, Prime Video also dropped a gripping first teaser trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the chaos awaiting at Godolkin University.
Season 2 Premieres This September
The second season of Gen V will debut on September 17, 2025, with the first three episodes dropping on premiere day. New episodes will then be released weekly on Wednesdays, concluding with the season finale on October 22.
The announcement was made during Prime Video’s panel at CCXP México, where cast members Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, London Thor, and Derek Luh participated in a special discussion and sneak peek presentation.
A Darker Semester at Godolkin University
Set against the backdrop of a nation under Homelander’s tyrannical rule, Season 2 dives deeper into the lives of young supes navigating the dangerous politics and power dynamics at Godolkin University.
Here’s the official logline:
“Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.”
The new semester also brings a major shakeup in leadership. Hamish Linklater joins the cast as Dean Cipher, a mysterious new figure promising to make students more powerful than ever.
Addressing the Loss of Chance Perdomo
Tragically, actor Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, passed away in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. Amazon has confirmed that the role of Andre will not be recast. Instead, the storyline for Season 2 has been respectfully reworked to reflect his absence, which also led to a temporary production delay.
In the teaser trailer, the series addresses Andre’s disappearance directly. His father, Polarity (played by Sean Patrick Thomas), confronts Dean Cipher, demanding answers about what really happened to his son at the hands of Vought.
Returning Cast and Creative Team
Season 2 will see the return of several key cast members:
- Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau
- Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer
- Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap
- London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li
- Asa Germann as Sam Riordan
- Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity
The show is co-created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, with Fazekas serving as showrunner. Executive producers include The Boys creator Eric Kripke, along with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, and several others. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in partnership with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

A New Chapter in The Boys Universe
Following a critically acclaimed first season that aired from September 29 to November 3, 2023, Gen V quickly secured a renewal thanks to its bold storytelling and strong connection to The Boys. With Season 2 raising the stakes and expanding the mythology behind Godolkin University, fans can expect a darker, more intense ride when the series returns this fall.
