He died at the age of 75 on March 21, 2021, in Krakow.
Beverly Cleary (March 25)
Cleary was born in McMinnville on April 12, 1916. Like most Victorian readers Beverly Cleary’s works are based in Grant Park neighbourhood, Portland, Oregon. Some of her notable works are series of Henry Higgins and series of Ramona, Dear Mr. Henshaw, and The Mouse and the Motorcycle. She received several awards for her work including National Book Award in 1981.

American writer and journalist Janet Malcolm was born on July 8, 1934. Her notable work is The Journalist and the Murderer. She was also the author of In the Freud Archives and Psychoanalysis: The Impossible Profession. In the year 2001, she was awarded the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She died at the age of 86 on June 16, 2021, due to lung cancer.
Wilbur Smith (November 13)
