The Other Emily by Dean Koontz picks up right away. As we’re introduced to all of the elements in the summary in the first few pages. An upsetting interview with a psychopathic serial killer. A still-grieving author who misses his lost love and an encounter with a strange similar woman.
There is something more to this story than the synopsis shows. As the book wanders into different genres and is more extensive in scope than large numbers of the suspense stories that I’ve read. It isn’t only an extraordinary page-turning Mystery, but it joins a nearly ‘drunk-with-romantic-bliss’ and even components of science fiction to truly add to the mystery. Which make the readers wondering about the thing exactly is happening.
Koontz is clearly an expert of Mystery, and The Other Emily didn’t disappoint at all in that class. The pacing is awesome, and the characters appear to be real. Certain things don’t actually sound good to the protagonist, however his responses appear to be believable. Koontz truly nailed premise about an individual that has lost the love of their life and aches for their return. In case you’re by one way or another managed an opportunity to be with somebody like them once more. You may ignore or shut out certain things since you’re so obsessed on this second opportunity. The mystery advances, and as the stakes get higher, bizarre occasions begin to make the readers and the protagonist both keep thinking about whether he is going mad.
I really enjoyed The Other Emily by Dean Koontz, especially the first half. I was unable to put it down until I finished it. Although I was not actually the greatest fan of the ending. However, it at least hold my interest the whole time. I was amazed, and possibly a tiny bit disappointed when it was finished, yet I enjoyed the ride.
