There are countless comics characters but very few have been able to make a mark for themselves. But the question is, who is the most popular and biggest name or let’s say brand in the comics world. Is it Superman, Batman, Wolverine? Or is it some other comics character? So, here is a list of the 10 most popular Comic Book Superheroes of All Time.

1. Batman

The first name in our list of most popular comic book superheroes is Batman. The dark justice seeking detective has been a fan favorite for the masses for decades and still continues to be one of the most prominent Comics & entertainment figures. Be it his comics, movies or animation series everything has been super successful. The reason behind the success is Batman’s personality and aura of the character. The vigilante’s dark past and human vulnerabilities makes him a standout character amongst the typical superheroes.

2. Superman

Superman is arguably the biggest superhero in the Comics universe. DC’s posterboy has established himself as the synonym of Superheroism and is considered an epitome of superpowers and supremacy. But Superman’s decline in the recent decades can’t be discounted. The decline has given his counterpart ‘Batman’ a free pass for the first spot. However, Superman’s legacy is unparalleled and more than enough to get him on the second spot. The man still holds a crazy fan following, he just needs a few good storylines to bounce back.

3. Wolverine

Wolverine is one of the most popular and successful comics characters of all time. Without any hesitation ‘Wolverine’ can be crowned as the biggest comic book hero of Marvel Comics. Characters like Spider-Man and Captain America give the mutant a tough challenge but Wolverine’s success in the comics is unmatched especially in the Marvel Comics. Wolverine is a brutal larger than life gray character which makes him a special and standout superhero in the Marvel Universe.

4. Spider-Man

The 4th superhero on our list is Spider-Man, if the ranking was about top heroes of the current times then definitely Spidey would have been on the top 2 or maybe even on the first spot. Not because of his powers but because of his attitude and personality, Spider-Man’s character is far from the typical superheroes. The human side, simplicity and boy next door feel, easily connected him with the teens and youth. And made him one of the greatest superheroes of the current times.

5. Wonder Woman

Her character has established herself as the symbol of female power and independence. Her legacy is no less than any mainstream male superhero. Wonder Woman barely finds any competition from her counterpart female superheroes across the universe (Marvel & DC Universe). She still holds the crown of being the biggest female superhero.

6. Captain America

It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t include Captain in the top 5.

7. The Hulk
