Although Harry Potter had a movie series all to himself, fans would like a spin-off feature with these fantastic supporting cast members: Neville Longbottom, Remus Lupin, and McGonagall. After Long-time Harry Potter fans got to see Albus Dumbledore’s past in the Fantastic Beasts series. This will be 5 movie series which was confirmed in 2016. They witnessed a young Dumbledore taking charge, instructing at Hogwarts, and even developing intricate bonds with other characters like Grindelwald. It has been wonderful for franchise fans to recognize a familiar face and discover more about his life. Dumbledore is an intriguing character, but there are many characters from the Harry Potter novels that fans would really like to see in their own spin-off movies. Here are 10 harry potter side characters who need their own spin-off movies.
10 Harry Potter Side Characters Who Need Their Own Spin-Off Movies
Neville Longbottom
Neville may have begun his Harry Potter journey as a timid student who nearly revealed Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s whereabouts as they fled, but he eventually developed into a formidable opponent. He was one of the school’s bravest combatants towards the end of the book, and he was also intelligent enough to become a Hogwarts professor. Neville served as an Auror (worked as a highly trained law enforcement official for a wizarding governing body) for a while after the war. The adventures he had there would make for a fantastic movie, especially if he did so with Harry, who was also an Auror. After a while, Neville began instructing Herbology at Hogwarts, allowing fans to experience life from the viewpoint of a teacher there.
Bill Weasley
In the actual Harry Potter movies, Bill Weasley received very little screen time, yet he would make a fantastic lead character in his own feature film. The oldest Weasley, Bill, worked as a Curse Breaker for Gringott’s for a while in Egypt. He is one of the select few who has survived a werewolf attack at the hands of Fenrir Greyback, demonstrating that he is unique and strong. His intriguing but sad love story made him more likable among readers. He was also married to Fleur Delacour when a war was going on.
Minerva McGonagall
McGonagall has long been a favourite lecturer among students, probably due to her somewhat sarcastic temperament and prowess as a duelist in combat. She still acted to protect Hogwarts and its pupils despite working there for many years as a teacher. After Dumbledore, McGonagall served as the school’s headmistress as well, and it would be interesting to compare and contrast her decisions with the school’s.
The Marauders (Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin, & James Potter)
Fans only get brief glimpses of Harry’s father’s time at Hogwarts with his friends, but from what Harry gathered, James and the other Marauders (The Marauders were a group of four Gryffindors and classmates) were brave mischief-makers who had a blast there and later developed into ferociously skilled wizards. The other Marauders fought against Voldemort during his initial effort to take over the Wizarding World and were crucial in his defeat, despite the fact that Peter ended himself on the wrong side of Wizard history. Additionally, they were present when the Order of the Phoenix was established.
Luna Lovegood
Most people know Luna for being authentically herself. She is among the oddest characters Harry encounters while traveling, but she also has the purest intentions. She is a Ravenclaw, which demonstrates her intelligence and love of learning Since she becomes a magizoologist. After the war and later meets and marries Rolf Scamander, Newt Scamander’s grandson. Her narrative even has a relation to the Fantastic Beasts movies. The possibility of seeing Newt once more could be an intriguing nod to the movies.
Nymphadora Tonks
Nymphadora Tonks is a metamorphmagus (with the rare magical ability to change their physical appearance through sheer will). Given Tonks’ fiery personality, it’s safe to assume that she made good use of her special powers while a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. It would provide viewers with more background information about Alastor Moody, whose great sense of humour and expertise was only briefly seen in the series. She was mentored by Moody when she became an Auror. Last but not least, Tonks and Lupin’s love story was dramatic and sorrowful, making it ideal for a movie.
Severus Snape
Snape is a contentious figure; some fans don’t think he deserves any pity, while others believe Snape plays a crucial role in Harry’s narrative. A movie based on Snape’s life would if anything, provide light on what it was like to be a double spy throughout the conflict. While there are brief glimpses into Voldemort’s inner circle for fans, a more thorough examination of how challenging Snape’s journey was would be fascinating. Fans would also learn more about Lily Evans and Snape’s background, which has a lot of potential for on-screen development.
Cedric Diggory
Audiences didn’t get to glimpse Cedric’s life while following Harry because he was fully confined to the Wizarding World. They were an extremely sophisticated and gifted magical family, according to what Cedric and his father have said. Cedric was widely regarded by his professors and peers, and he even rose to the position of a prefect at Hogwarts. Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, Harry’s and Draco’s offspring undo Cedric’s death in another timeline that may be explored in a movie, which would be awesome to see in a movie. Cedric then turns into a Death Eater.
Draco Malfoy
Draco Malfoy was one of the less evil opponents Harry faced despite being an adversary in the Harry Potter movies. When it mattered most, Malfoy couldn’t decide to act badly. He was fundamentally simply a scared youngster with negative influences. Fans would be thrilled to learn how Malfoy’s early life and participation in the Second Wizard War impacted him later in life. In order to humanize Malfoy and give him a love interest of his own, he marries a witch named Astoria Greengrass and has a son named Scorpius.
Hermione Granger
One, if not the most, fully realized character in the series after Harry is Hermione Granger. She had a fascinating background because she was raised by two muggles before realizing she was a witch, and watching her learn about magic on screen would be incredibly amusing. Hermione is more intelligent than most people, can compete favourably in combat with Death Eaters, and has an exciting and captivating love affair with her long-time friend, Ron. She later developed into an activist for elven rights and fought to repeal rules that favoured pure-blooded witches and wizards.
