Wonder Woman vs Lobo DC KO’s Most Brutal Showdown

The DC KO series continues to deliver jaw-dropping matchups, pitting some of the mightiest characters in the DC Universe against each other in intense, often cosmic, battles. Following the incredible clashes of Superman vs Captain Atom and Aquaman vs Hawkman, the next bout takes center stage — Wonder Woman vs Lobo.

This face-off combines divine power and unrelenting savagery, as the Amazon Princess takes on the Last Czarnian, the cosmic biker bounty hunter known for his brutality and twisted sense of humor. Let’s break down this epic encounter round by round, exploring every punch, quip, and cosmic consequence that shakes the foundations of the multiverse.

The Unusual Beginning: A Fight Broadcast from the Heavens

The issue opens on a surreal note. Somewhere high among the clouds, a mysterious being lounges on a couch, flipping through television channels. As they clip their toenails, they stumble upon a broadcast of Lobo vs Wonder Woman. Amused, they settle in to watch — and just like that, we’re drawn into the chaos.

The broadcast shows Lobo grinning in his trademark cocky manner, taunting Wonder Woman:

“What are you gonna do, little lady? Slaughter me? Didn’t nobody tell you I’m the main man — and I can’t die?”

Moments later, the mysterious observer pauses the TV and mutters, “What do we have here?” before the feed roars back into action with the words “Round One.” It’s fight time.

Round One: Warrior vs. Bastich

The first round kicks off in a dramatic, wrestling-style arena. The announcer hypes up the fighters with theatrical energy:

“Ladies and gentlemen, rev up your engines and lock up your liquor cabinets! From the farthest, darkest reaches of space — the intergalactic bounty hunter, the last Czarnian, the biker of the cosmos — the main man, Lobo!”

On the other side, Wonder Woman prepares for battle in true Amazonian fashion — tightening her boots, securing her bracelets, and donning her tiara. She’s every bit the divine warrior, the Champion of Themyscira and Enforcer of Olympus.

As the Heart of Apocalypse, the mysterious tournament master, announces, “Let the battle commence,” the brawl explodes into motion. Wonder Woman doesn’t waste a moment. She lands several powerful punches, stunning Lobo right out of the gate.

But Lobo, ever the tough guy, snarls and grabs her by the hair, slamming her into the ground. Bloodied yet unbroken, Diana counters with her lasso, snaring Lobo around the neck and yanking him close in a move straight out of a classic fighting game. She knees him in the jaw and spits venom back at him:

“My lasso makes you tell the truth — and I cannot lie. You’re the worst.”

In response, Lobo mocks her mid-fight, echoing,

“You’re the fraggin’ worst,”
before catching her in a headlock and pummeling her face mercilessly. One massive blow later, Wonder Woman collapses, and the Heart of Apocalypse declares the first round in Lobo’s favor.

Round Two: Golden Armor and the Fury of Themyscira

With the crowd roaring, the Heart of Apocalypse announces the next stage:

“Round two. Fighters may choose their preferred battle form. Fight as if you were Darkseid himself.”

This transformation rule opens up the creative floodgates. Wonder Woman heals and rises again, this time donned in her radiant Golden Eagle Armor — the same armor that inspired her look in Wonder Woman 1984. The visual alone is stunning, symbolizing both divine power and warlike resilience.

Meanwhile, Lobo returns with his own transformation — his controversial New 52 redesign. Sleeker and more vampiric-looking than fans like, it even prompts a fourth-wall-breaking jab from Cassandra Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), who quips,

“Who in the New 52 is that?”

It’s a great blend of humor and meta-commentary, acknowledging fans’ distaste for this particular version of Lobo.

But Diana doesn’t face this round alone. The Heart of Apocalypse reveals that in her ideal form, the warrior princess stands with her Amazon sisters: Donna Troy, Cassandra Sandsmark, and Yara Flor. Together, the Wonder Girls join forces for a devastating assault on the Main Man.

Team Wonder vs. The Main Man

The battle escalates wildly. Wonder Woman slashes Lobo’s arm clean off with her sword, while Yara knocks him back using his own severed limb — a gratifyingly brutal touch. Unfazed, Lobo grins as his arm regenerates instantly. For those unfamiliar, Lobo’s healing factor makes Wolverine look like an amateur.

The Wonder Girls press on with relentless ferocity. Cassandra and Donna hammer away at him, while Lobo shrugs off blows and spits out quips:

“Take it easy, gals. There’s enough of me to go around!”

Despite their combined might, Lobo hurls both Wonder Girls away, mocking,

“Don’t worry, you’ll get your autographs after the concussions wear off!”

Donna Troy refuses to back down, snarling that if he gets any closer, she’ll make him regret it — setting up one of the fiercest sequences in the entire issue.

At that instant, Wonder Woman swoops in again, cleaving one of Lobo’s legs clean off. As he crawls away, grinning through the blood, she hijacks his iconic space chopper and dives it directly into him, slicing the Main Man in half.

Round Two ends with Diana standing triumphant, declaring,

“Looks like you’ll limp away from this thing, a loser.”

Up above, the mysterious watcher flips a remote. But the Heart of Apocalypse isn’t done. There’s one final round — and this time, it’s going to decide much more than just the winner.

Round Three: The Immortal Contest

The third and final round pushes both immortals to their limits with something new: a series of bizarre classic contests. These aren’t just physical fights — they’re endurance trials that test both strength and spirit.

Among the challenges are:

  • galactic slap match, where Wonder Woman absolutely obliterates Lobo.
  • shin-kicking championship, where Lobo literally shatters Diana’s leg.
  • chess-boxing round, ending with Diana delivering a brutal knockout.
  • Even a car jiu-jitsu duel, an absurd yet hilarious moment that perfectly fits the series’ chaotic tone.

Despite the comedic undertones, these contests build serious tension. Both fighters are evenly matched, trading victories until only one remains standing for the final battle — gladiatorial combat.

The Final Duel: Lobo Meets the Almighty

The Heart of Apocalypse announces the last arena:

“Gladiatorial combat. Winner takes all.”

Lobo gears up by raiding the weapons racks, dual-wielding massive guns and unloading on Wonder Woman. His goal? To become “King Omega.” Every bullet ricochets harmlessly off Diana’s indestructible bracelets, leaving Lobo growling in frustration:

“Now you’re really cheesing me off! Just die already!”

But Diana is far from done. Disappearing momentarily, she reappears behind him, impaling his back with his own chain and hook. As she reels him in, Lobo snarls:

“Admit it. You’ve been dying for me to get my hook in you!”

The fight becomes almost poetic — two immortal beings tangled in a deadly dance of strength and obsession. Lobo drives his hook into Diana’s ribs, while she counters with divine precision, knocking him off balance.

Then comes the shocking twist: Lobo arrogantly proclaims,

“Didn’t nobody tell you? I’m the main man, the big cheese — the guy who made a deal with the Almighty! I can’t die!”

And in that instant, the camera pans upward to reveal the truth. The mysterious viewer who’s been watching this whole time is none other than The Presence — the DC Universe’s version of God Himself.

With his angel standing beside him, The Presence simply says,

“I’ll allow it.”

The Heart of Apocalypse narrates,

“It would seem the Almighty heard Lobo take His name in vain. This can’t be good for the Scourge of the cosmos.”

In a stroke of divine irony, God himself cancels Lobo’s immortality. As his celestial contract is torn apart, Wonder Woman drives her sword through his torso, ending the Main Man once and for all.

Lobo’s deal with God is terminated. For the first time in his history, Lobo truly dies.

The Aftermath: The Amazon Triumphs, the Cosmos Trembles

With the Heart of Apocalypse declaring her the victor, Wonder Woman officially moves on in the DC KO tournament. But the implications of this battle stretch far beyond a single win. If the continuity holds — and unless DC KO resets the multiverse — Lobo is no longer immortal. The cosmic bastich, a being who once tore through Heaven itself, may now finally be mortal.

The remaining pages shift focus back to the ongoing DC KO narrative. We find Darkseid, now possessing the body of Booster Gold, in the Watchtower, having already erased the Time Trapper during Superman vs Captain Atom. He now turns his attention toward the World Forger, whom he annihilates effortlessly.

In his chilling words,

“As annoying as you’ve been, World Forger, at least you’ve served your purpose.”

This one line encapsulates the looming darkness of DC KO: a saga where no being — not even gods or cosmic architects — is safe from destruction.
