As the Heart of Apocalypse, the mysterious tournament master, announces, “Let the battle commence,” the brawl explodes into motion. Wonder Woman doesn’t waste a moment. She lands several powerful punches, stunning Lobo right out of the gate.
But Lobo, ever the tough guy, snarls and grabs her by the hair, slamming her into the ground. Bloodied yet unbroken, Diana counters with her lasso, snaring Lobo around the neck and yanking him close in a move straight out of a classic fighting game. She knees him in the jaw and spits venom back at him:
“My lasso makes you tell the truth — and I cannot lie. You’re the worst.”

“You’re the fraggin’ worst,”

Meanwhile, Lobo returns with his own transformation — his controversial New 52 redesign. Sleeker and more vampiric-looking than fans like, it even prompts a fourth-wall-breaking jab from Cassandra Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), who quips,

It’s a great blend of humor and meta-commentary, acknowledging fans’ distaste for this particular version of Lobo.
But Diana doesn’t face this round alone. The Heart of Apocalypse reveals that in her ideal form, the warrior princess stands with her Amazon sisters: Donna Troy, Cassandra Sandsmark, and Yara Flor. Together, the Wonder Girls join forces for a devastating assault on the Main Man.

But Diana is far from done. Disappearing momentarily, she reappears behind him, impaling his back with his own chain and hook. As she reels him in, Lobo snarls:
“Admit it. You’ve been dying for me to get my hook in you!”
The fight becomes almost poetic — two immortal beings tangled in a deadly dance of strength and obsession. Lobo drives his hook into Diana’s ribs, while she counters with divine precision, knocking him off balance.
Then comes the shocking twist: Lobo arrogantly proclaims,
“Didn’t nobody tell you? I’m the main man, the big cheese — the guy who made a deal with the Almighty! I can’t die!”
And in that instant, the camera pans upward to reveal the truth. The mysterious viewer who’s been watching this whole time is none other than The Presence — the DC Universe’s version of God Himself.
With his angel standing beside him, The Presence simply says,
“I’ll allow it.”
The Heart of Apocalypse narrates,
“It would seem the Almighty heard Lobo take His name in vain. This can’t be good for the Scourge of the cosmos.”
In a stroke of divine irony, God himself cancels Lobo’s immortality. As his celestial contract is torn apart, Wonder Woman drives her sword through his torso, ending the Main Man once and for all.
Lobo’s deal with God is terminated. For the first time in his history, Lobo truly dies.
The Aftermath: The Amazon Triumphs, the Cosmos Trembles
With the Heart of Apocalypse declaring her the victor, Wonder Woman officially moves on in the DC KO tournament. But the implications of this battle stretch far beyond a single win. We find Darkseid, now possessing the body of Booster Gold, in the Watchtower, having already erased the Time Trapper during Superman vs Captain Atom.
