Mirror’s Edge
This prequel comic follows an ambitious Faith, who is attempting to make progress in her life as a runner. Circumstances lead her to begin an involvement with crime boss Dogen. Thus she begins doing odd jobs for him, at the completion of which she will receive her dead mother’s artwork. This also has fantasy elements along with a militaristic society.
The Last of Us
The writer of this comic is also the lead writer of the video game it is based on, creating a seamless world where the two collide. The comics focus on Ellie’s life, her upbringing in the quarantine zone and her friendship with Riley. With a hint of melancholy, this is also an excellent work of art.
The Walking Dead
This science fiction comic series takes place in a post apocalyptic world. It follows Ricky Grime, who gets a wound in the line of duty and wakes up to find that the undead have overtaken the world. As the zombies attack his family and friend, he struggles to survive and make a place for himself in this new world.
Dragon Age
This 2009 comic is the first in a series. This first one tells the story of a group of Templars who go on a search and destroy mission to annihilate Flemeth. Flemeth is a witch of the wild. Marvel’s Halo is an adaptation of a novel which also forms the basis of a video game. It’s a military science fiction, which spans planets and decades.
