Oscar-nominated actor Steven Yeun has officially joined the cast of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ upcoming animated feature based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Yeun, best known for his roles in Minari, Mickey 17, Beef, and The Walking Dead, will lend his voice to a yet-to-be-revealed character in the much-anticipated film.

The Growing Cast and Creative Team

Yeun joins an already star-studded cast, which includes singer-songwriter Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as an unnamed villain, Dionne Quan as Toph, Jessica Matten as Katara, and Román Zaragoza as Sokka. The film is being directed by Avatar: The Last Airbender series alum Lauren Montgomery, with William Mata serving as co-director.
