The Emmy-winning animated series Rick and Morty is officially back with its eighth season, promising another round of chaotic, mind-bending adventures. After an 18-month hiatus, fans can finally dive into 10 brand-new episodes starting Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim.
Here’s everything you need to know about the premiere, how to watch it—whether you have cable or not—and what’s ahead in the new season.
When and Where to Watch Rick and Morty Season 8
The Season 8 premiere kicks off on Sunday, May 25, with a weekly episode release schedule that runs through July 27, 2025. New episodes will air every Sunday at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim, which remains the show’s exclusive broadcast home in the U.S.
For fans outside the United States, Rick and Morty will be available in over 170 countries, though premiere dates and platforms may vary by region.
How to Watch Rick and Morty Without Cable
If you don’t have a cable subscription, there are still several ways to catch Season 8:
- DirecTV
- Fubo
- Hulu + Live TV
- YouTube TV
These platforms offer Adult Swim access, allowing fans to stream the show live. Alternatively, for those who prefer on-demand streaming, Season 8 will arrive on Max (formerly HBO Max) starting September 1, 2025, once the entire season finishes airing.
For international viewers or those facing geo-restrictions, using a VPN can help access U.S. streaming services securely and legally.
New Voices, Familiar Chaos
This season continues the series’ post-Justin Roiland era, with Ian Cardoni now voicing Rick and Harry Belden as Morty. Their debut in Season 7 stirred mixed reactions, but fans are hoping the duo has fully settled into their roles as Season 8 unfolds.
The core cast also includes returning voices:
- Sarah Chalke as Beth
- Chris Parnell as Jerry
- Spencer Grammer as Summer
Despite the voice cast shake-up, Rick and Morty remains strong. Adult Swim renewed the show last year, ensuring it will continue through at least Season 12.
