Percy Jackson is a bestselling series based on the adventures of the titular character. Percy is a demigod who discovers that he is the son of Poseidon, the God of Sea. Mingling Greek mythology with young adult adventure, this series follows Percy and his friends Annabeth and Grover as they stumble upon a host of interesting events.
In the first book, entitled Lightening Thief, Percy has to travel all the way to the underworld to redeem his name and convince Zeus that neither his father nor he stole the Lightening Bolt. In the second installment of the series, Sea of Monsters, Percy and his friends set out to reclaim the legendary Golden Fleece to prevent Camp Half Blood from falling apart. The third book, The Titan’s Curse sees Percy and his friends battle a half lion-half human to rescue Annabeth and a chained Greek Goddess. The Battle of the Labyrinth is the fourth book, Percy and his squad journey through a labyrinth to defeat Kronos as the war between him and Olympians draws nearer. In the last book, The Last Olympian, the series comes to a close, with the war between the Titans and Olympians finally happening.

Age and other requirement to apply for Preliminary Casting For Percy Jackson Web series:
In any case, we are super stoked about Rick Riordan’s announcement about the preliminary casting opening. Rick Riordan has specified that the Percy’s character should be able to play a 12 year old. This is because the series takes place when Percy’s age is 12-16 years. This allows for younger and older adolescents to be able to audition, but Riordan has said that he would like to adhere to the organic age limit as far as possible. He also said that for now, only Percy’s characterization is being thought of. Annabeth, Grover, Kronos, Chiron and others’ casting will begin only after Percy’s character is finalized.
As for the ethnicity, Riordan has specified that there are no impediments to any. He has also stressed the policy of Disney. It clearly mentions that casting shall take place solely on the basis of meritocracy. Ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, race, color, religion or any other considerations shall not factor into the selection process.
Now for the major deets: where can you apply or audition? Rick Riordan has clearly stated on his blog that the only link to send self-tapes for auditioning is this – PercyJacksonOpenCall.20thTelevision.com. However, Becky, Rick’s wife and co-producer of the series has told agented actors that they should approach the author, who is spearheading the series, through their agency only. The rest, meanwhile, should work on their audition tapes.
