The series is about the sixteen-year-old main character named Bree and her journey of uncovering the mystery behind her mother’s death. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the second book Bloodmarked.

She is known for writing retellings of Shakespeare’s plays. These Violent Delights was a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, while her third book, and the first book in the series, Foul Lady Fortune, will be a retelling of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Foul Lady Fortune is also a spin-off series of Gong’s first book series, These Violent Delights and focuses on the story of Rosalind.
