This book chronicles the story of the Sackler family – one of the richest families in the world known for their donations to arts and sciences. However, their source of wealth was a painkiller called Oxycontin, a catalyst in the opioid crisis ravaging the world. The Love Songs of W.E.B. Dubois by Honoree Franny Jeffers (Adenrele Ojo)

Velvet Was The Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (Gisela Chipe)
The popular author of Mexican Gothic has yet again crafted a brilliant story set in of the 1970s – the story of Maite. Maite becomes obsessed with her mysterious and beautiful neighbour, and when her neighbour suddeny disappears, Maite takes it upon herself to find her. But someone else is also looking for her and some romance seems to be brewing between them.
Savage Tongues by Azareen Van Der Vliet Oloomi (Samara Naeyemi)
This book traverses two timelines. In the first, Iranian American teen Arezu goes to Spain to confront her estranged father and ends up falling for his step nephew, the forty year old Lebanese Omar. In the other, she returns to America with her Israeli American Friend Ellie and attempts to tackle the ghosts of her tumultuous past.
