And, the next thing you know, you forgot about your homework and trying to convince yourself that one more episode will not be that harmful. You need to have a study routine and everyday plan to check your progress and know how much more you need to study. Complete the difficult ones first.

Keep Important Reads In Front

While growing up, you must keep books in every room of your house. Similarly, when you are an adult and distracted, make sure to keep books in every room of your house, especially places that distract you the most such as beside the TV remote or the bedside table where you keep your phone. You can also use sticky notes to remind yourself of the tasks that you need to complete by today.

Keep A Reward

Yes, just because you are trying to shift from screen to books does not mean you have to leave it entirely. Use screen time for a normal amount, so that it feels more like a way of gaining entertainment rather than a distraction. If you are studying for several hours, you would want to watch Netflix or enjoy Spotify for an hour or so. I am going to tell you what I do – I listen to Spotify every day, to get over the monotonous study sessions of 3-4 hours. A lot of people listen to soft or lofi music while studying, it helps them to stay focused. And, I am not a cinephile, I only prefer to watch movies when I feel too tired. So, as a reward, I keep a movie to watch during weekends. It helps me to stay focused and excited about studying.
