Movies adapted from books are a trend right now. Every other movie being made is adapted from a book. Movies bring books to life. Yet there are some books which are still not made into movies. It is said that movie rights were taken by the 20th century Fox, but no word has been heard since then. It would have made into such a beautiful movie for all its fans.
An American Marriage
Author:- Tayari Jones
It is a drama about marriage and the after effects it has on a black couple after the husband is wrongfully incarcerated. It was also a part of Oprah’s Book Club. If the movie was made it would have been a blockbuster.
American Wife
Author:- Curtis Sittenfeld
This book is about the life of Laura Bush. It was a semi fictional book It told the story of a Wisconsin teacher who finds herself in the White House. The themes portrayed in this book are relevant even today.
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time
Author:- Mark Haddon
The film rights of this novel were sold years ago, still no film has been made. A theatrical adaptation has already won the Tony for Best Play. This a sweet ad sad story. The story is of a 15 year old boy on the autism spectrum who investigates the death of a neighbor’s dog.
Days Without End

It is a civil war drama. This story is about a gay pair of American soldiers in the 1850s fighting for their futures. This book is perfect for on-screen adaptations. What’s more important is that this book is relevant even today.

This is a touching and thought-provoking story about life and loss. This will be a perfect book for anyone who does not believe in the barriers of genre. If this novel is adapted into a book it will be one of the finest works.

This was one of the best-selling non-fiction of all time. Story about the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893, and the serial killer who used this fair for killing. Martin Scorsese was up for directing this adaptation but there was no progress after that.

Story about a woman who gets visions of the future. It is set in the 19th century England. This novel is a great opportunity for any director to showcase his or her talent.

The selection is a tradition in which 35 candidates have to marry the prince. The story follows Princess Eadlyn on her personal journey. This novel will make a good and entertaining film.

Jonathen Franzen’s National Book Award winner. The story is about a dysfunctional family which is funny, heartfelt and contains a great deal of truth to it. HBO wanted to make it into a series but that’s the only thing we know.

It is set in the fall of 1988 at Harvard University. The story follows around when Spenser the male protagonist is forced into a secret society. The Book can be a great addition to the movies.

This horror story is enough to give you nightmares. And if it is made into a movie it will be a great watch. It is a sequel to House Of Horrors.

If you enjoy thrillers then this book is made specially for you. It also has paranormal activity as part of its story line. This book should be made into a movie as it will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to end.
