10 Indian Superheroes Who Could Be a Part of Avengers
10 Indian Superheroes Who Could Be a Part of Avengers: In recent times we have witnessed a downfall in the superhero genre films, especially in MCU projects. The reason is the never ending high demand and fans’ exceptions from Marvel. Sometimes it feels like Marvel has tried their every trick in the book. Bringing something new and interesting every time (with tons of movies and series coming out each year), it becomes very difficult to deliver. But the fact can’t be denied that MCU is aware of the trends and have been constantly trying to bring something new & unique. They have been experimenting for a while but so far their experiments have not landed well. The need of the hour is to bring some fresh characters. We do have some suggestions (Indian Superheroes). These characters can turn the tables for MCU as they are alien to the West.
10 Indian Superheroes Who Could Be a Part of Avengers
The first hero in our list is probably India’s most iconic Superhero. Shaktimaan is one of India’s most popular and loved figures of the 90’s. The character was played by Indian actor Mukesh Khanna. He was also the producer of the Indian superhero series. In the series Khanna plays a character of a superhero (Shaktimaan) who fights against the evil forces of the society. The superhero also has an alter ego named Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri and lives in disguise as a photographer for a newspaper. His alter ego is poles apart from his real personality (like in most superhero cases). Shaktimaan possesses God like powers which he has gained from worship of God and meditation. His power sources are the 7 chakras in his body. The superhero’s motto is truthfulness and he fights for justice & humanity. Shaktimaan is near to perfect and almost invincible in nature. There are talks going on, where Sony is planning something a big venture for Shaktimaan’s character.
If Shaktimaan is India’s most popular Superhero of television and Krrish of the big screen (films). Nagraj holds the same stature in Indian comics. The character is one of the most iconic characters of Indian comics and was created in the late 80’s by Rajkumar Gupta. The superhero first appeared in 1986 in Nagraj GENL #14 which was published by Raj Comics. In the earlier editions The alter ego of the Superhero (Mr. Raj) was a PR officer in an org. ‘Nagraj’ somewhat refers to ‘The King of Snakes’ (in hindi). The superhero literally possesses the powers of a snake and also has super human abilities. Some major strengths of Nagraj include powers like Telepathy, martial arts, venomous breath, snake spit, Infrared vision, sixth sense, healing powers and he also has tons of microscopic snakes (shape shifting) in his body. Nagraj can be a great choice for the Avengers team or may be a good pick to battle against them.
Krrish is India’s most successful superhero on the big screen. There have been 3 movies based on the superhero and Krrish has featured in 2 movies out of the 3. All the movies have been a big draw at the box office. The latest venture ‘Krrish 3’ was released in 2013 and was a blockbuster at the box office. The superhero character is played by popular actor Hrithik Roshan. In the story Krishna (Krrish) is the son of a research scientist Rohit Mehra who has received his power ( super intelligence) from ‘Jaadoo’ (an alien). Krishna got his powers from his father’s genes, but his powers are more refined. Krrish has supernatural abilities and possesses superhuman strength. The guy could climb mountains like climbing steps and could easily hop from one skyscraper to another. Krrish is a versatile superhero with no major weakness. His only weakness is humanity and his family.
The next on our list is G.One, a superhero played by superstar SRK (Shah Rukh Khan). The character appeared in 2011 film Ra.One. G.One isn’t as ionic or popular as the other superheroes on our list. The high budget Sci Fi film failed to live up to its expectations but was praised for its graphics. The movie was way ahead of its time. G.One is a video game protagonist who has arrived in the real world. The game protagonist is enabled with self AI learning and also has some human abilities. G.one is somewhat a mixture of Buzz Lightyear and Cyborg. This superhero character isn’t the best in the business but with little work he can be added to the team of Avengers. Just imagine SRK being in the Avengers will add more charm to the team.
Parmanu is another superhero from Raj Comics. His alter ego is Inspector Vinay. The superhero’s name ‘Parmanu’ literally means ‘Atom’. The character saw its first appearance in 1991. Parmanu possesses powers like atomic manipulation and size manipulation. The backstory of Vinay turning into Parmanu happens after an unfortunate event, when Vinay saw a group of criminals killing his classmate. After this event he vowed to avenge the death of his classmate. Later he found out the murder weapon and discovered that the killer was a seniour police officer. The police officer tried to recover the weapon and even attempted to kill Vinay. However, Vinay was rescued by Prof. K.K. Verma (Vinay’s maternal Uncle). Prof. K.K. revealed that he had made a costume that can give superpowers. After knowing about this Vinay put on the costume and became superhero ‘Parmanu’.
Sabu is the right hand man or partner of ‘Chacha Chaudhary’. Sabu is an alien from Jupiter who stays on Earth and helps Chaudhary in combating with goons and villains. The alien is a humongous man looking creature. From his appearance he looks like a hardcore wrestler. Different comics have different stories about Sabu. According to some he’s like a Genie who comes out when the lamp is rubbed by Chacha Chaudhary. Some comics even suggest that he has powers to increase in size. But the general overview of the character is that he’s a tall powerful guy and provides physical aid to Chacha Chaudhary in combat situations.
