Black Adam possesses god-like powers which makes him one of the strongest characters of the comics universe. Over the period he has established himself as an anti-hero. The recent Black Adam movie starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has created a lot of buzz amongst the DC & superhero genre film lovers. The action packed movie was appreciated by the masses but many believe that the movie didn’t showcase the character’s true potential and it lacked the layers & complexities which we have witnessed in the comics. Martian Manhunter

But when this Justice League member came face to face against Black Adam, things didn’t go Martian’s way. In a storyline (during World War III) Manhunter went to stop Adam. Where the Martian was almost vaporized by Black Adam’s lightning strikes. After this Manhunter tried to set inside Adam’s mind and manipulate him. However, this psychic act backfired on Manhunter himself. Martian Manhunter was unable to handle the rage, anger and tragedy (when he peeped into Adam’s mind). Adam’s emotions & anger overwhelmed Manhunter and he escaped to space with tearful eyes. Even the mighty Martian was unable to stand against Black Adam.

Hawkman

You must have witnessed Hawkman’s and Adam’s battle in the movie. But that’s just a glimpse of it. The duo have battled out numerous times. In a storyline post WWIII, where Black Adam was powerless and was in search of a way to restore his dead wife. While the Justice Society of America were searching for him for the war crimes committed by him. However, Adam got his powers back (temporarily). And when the duo faced off, Black Adam turned the JLA supreme (Hawkman) into a bloody mess.  

Shazam

Both Shazam and Adam have somewhat similar powers which makes the battle more interesting. Black Adam has defeated Shazam but the superhero (Shazam) keeps coming back. Atom Smasher

The movie barely shades light on the JLA member Atom Smasher and his bond with Adam. However, in the comics the duo share a great brotherly bond. But all this started with a brawl between the two. Where Smasher initially dominated the brawl by using his gigantic size to his advantage. But his happiness was short-lived as Black Adam defeated the JLA powerhouse with ease. Ahk-Ton

Ahk-Ton was the evil ruler of Egypt who gained his powers from the Egyptian God ‘Ra’. The thing that triggered Black Adam was Ahk-Ton’s decision to attack and conquer Kahndaq. After the conquest the evil king showed no mercy on Kahndaq’s people and even slaughtered Adam’s family. After this tragic event Adam decided to take revenge and strived for it. Eventually Black Adam captured and killed the evil King.

Young Frankenstein

This time the teen titan member Frankenstein faces the rage of Black Adam. In the post WWIII Adam was in no mood to spare anyone coming his way. The anti-hero had destroyed many heroes and teen titans before facing off against the Young Frankenstein. Black Adam showed no mercy against the superhero (Frankenstein) and ripped his arm off his body in the battle. 

Psycho-Pirate

Psycho-Pirate’s Medusa Mask allows him to perform all the mental psyche acts upon the opponent. Once the super villain tried to take control over Black Adam’s emotions. This rubbed the anti-hero the wrong way and decided to end Psycho-Pirate’s nonsense forever. With just the help of his fingers Adam penetrated the head of the emotion manipulator (Psycho-Pirate).

Super Woman

Black Adam also defeated Superwoman. Superwoman is considered to be the equivalent Wonder woman of Earth III. And Adam was just able to defeat the superhero/superheroine with a bolt of lightning which struck Superwoman. The storyline takes place when the Crime Syndicate took over the planet and Earth III was brought to its knees.

Terra

Terra was a complicated character, she was a part of the Teen Titans team but acted as a double agent and performed missions against her team at times. Many believe that Terra was thought to be a superhero, she actually was a villain. In the storyline post WWIII where every superhero tries to stop Black Adam, Terra too gives it a try. But unfortunately it became the teen titan’s last fight as Adam penetrated his punch through Terra’s chest. Black Adam brutally killed the superhero in front of her team members.
