The first thing people notice about a book is the cover unless they already are familiar with the review. The book covers are a major deciding factor for the readers whether they should read the book or not, and even they doubt if they are going to like the book or not. For a book, its cover work as the salesman to the audience of the book. People are more drawn to shopping from online applications because it is easy to scroll down numerous books, and it is the best way that proves that book covers are important and a major attraction to the readers. As the book covers that we get to see on our cell phone are of a thumbnail size; so inevitable it is highly important to take good notice if the writing present in the shirt is shorter than usual or if the painting or image in the book cover is available.

The covers of the book are not just a way of decoration or showcasing creativity; it also has to tell a story, a brief aspect of the main feature of the book. The more creative and compelling is the cover, the more it will attract the audience to go through it. It indicates the genre of the book if it is epic, classic, or dark. It offers the readers an opportunity to predict the story or information filled in the pages. One of the primary purposes of the book covers is to draw the attention of the readers away from other Books that are present in online stores and book markets. In the retail environment, it is very significant to stand out and compete. Usually, the front covers are a dominant graphic photograph of either a setting or a place where the main action takes place. It also has to leave space for certain elements such as the book title, author’s name, subtitle of the book, expert quote, series title, and publisher.

The cover not only consists of the front one, but it also has the spine, and back cover. The spine refers to the narrow part of the book. Although it is not a lot thick, the spine still must include the name of the book, writer, and publisher. The back cover has to contain the author’s name, the name of the book, publisher, a paragraph from the book, and some points that highlight the main point of the book. There is often a comment from a big publication house, newspaper, or editor.
