What Happened to the Bennetts by Lisa Scottoline is Tense and suspenseful. Each chapter finished with a cliffhanger that kept me moving to the following one. There a great amount of sorrow, loss and violence in the story. It’s likewise about vengeance, rebuilding, and justice. The start was a bit slow to get going, however I liked the starting. I liked having a chance to get to know the characters. The mid part of the story had a great deal of suspense with exciting twists. The ending of the story had a ton of action. I enjoyed the ride that this book took me on, and it kept me speculating.
Jason Bennett is a court room journalist with an ability to read lips. A dangerous incident happened one day when he was driving the family home from his daughter Allison’s football match. Everybody from Bennet’s family became confused and terrified at the same time about why this was occurring to them. One of them won’t be alive after this attack or say incidence. The family got destroyed due to losing a member. Furthermore, to escalate the situation the FBI got involved into all this and they put the Bennetts in a witness protection program. This means segregating them completely from the life they used to have. But, can Jason trust the FBI? That you need to find out.
What Happened to the Bennetts by Lisa Scottoline is told from the father, Jason POV. The chapters are short and quick. A terrible incidence opens up the story. You think the best happened first yet the story is brimming with exciting twists and turns. The characters are all around developed, and strong. The story writing is splendid. This spine chiller was difficult to put down and I read the majority of it in two days. You will be able to feel the writer through the characters. You pull for Jason to get his justice all through the book. This was an astounding book and I no doubt recommend it to everybody.
