The story revolves around Molly. She is a charming, innocent 25-year-old young lady working as a maid at a luxurious hotel in the UK. Molly was bought up by her Gran and lived with her until her Gran died. They lived a good life, adhering to a strict timetable that included watching old episodes of Columbo every night. Molly has problems understanding social signals and understanding subtext. However, she is a good maid.

Molly has few companions. One is an old man “Mr. Preston” who is a guard at the front entrance to the Grand Regency Hotel.
