The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout is the third Book in Blood and Ash series. This picks up right where the previous novel left off and takes you on a wild ride. I was unable to put the book down and my heart was racing the whole time. I know a few people who struggled getting into the first novel. Also, few who thought the subsequent book’s pacing was slow. However, this time I can assure every one of them that The Crown of Gilded Bones is action packed all through. It is the most awesome book in the series yet.
There were a few moments that had me audibly gasping and practically dropping the book in shock. I thought I knew where the book was going and afterwards Jennifer L. Armentrout would present a twist. A twist I had not even thought of. I will not lie-I cried a couple of times. I likewise yelled and laughed and delighted in each word. We unquestionably find answers in this book. A lot of them. Also, some new questions as well.
Poppy has developed as an individual from when we met her in book one. I am likewise altogether invested in seeing her get the happy ending she merits. From being separated from everybody and being practically forbidden from enjoying life, to being in love and having her entire life flipped around, Poppy has experienced a great deal. A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire was an emotional excursion for Poppy. The Crown of Gilded Bones shows her accepting the individual she has become. And, that individual is incredible, a badass, and willing to do anything for her loved ones.
Casteel is absolutely flawless, and I think all my favourite lines in this book were said by him. We’ve always realized that he could burn down the world to make Poppy happy and kill any individual who attempts to get in their way. But, this book also showed that Poppy would do likewise for him. THAT is the energy I love to see! Give me more books were both of the characters would kill for one another without hesitation.
What’s more, obviously I need to specify my most loved wolven. Kieran and Poppy’s companionship was one of my favourite parts of the novel. In The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout, she has built a fascinating world filled with mortals, prophecies, Gods, deities, war, vengeance, ancient bloodlines, destruction, and hope. I just don’t know where this will go next, but I’m excited about it!
