Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney is a creative domestic thriller. This book had every one of the thrills and chills that you trusted a book would have. The entire time your thinking about what’s happening. And afterward bam, plot twist! It was fabulous with the two primary characters, as they both have hidden agendas. The writer did a great job in slowly uncovering things as we keep reading. The big uncovers will leave you wanting to return and begin again all along.
Adam and Amelia Wright’s marriage hasn’t been ideal for quite a while. They won a weekend trip to Scotland and maybe this will be exactly what they wanted to get their married life on track again. But, hello, this is a spine chiller, isn’t that so? They’ll be staying at an old church out in the center of nowhere and obviously the weather is questionable. Is it true that you are beginning to get the inclination that romance is not in the air for these two and perhaps something insane could occur on this outing?
It was fun truly getting into their heads as you had the opportunity to figure out how they really felt about their spouse. The isolated setting was amazing as it added to the entire uncomfortable feeling I had while going through this book. I love that feeling of not realizing what could occur next when I read a thriller.
I can’t actually say that I had a most loved character however I likewise didn’t hate any of the characters. My feelings changed for every one of the three primary characters during the story. Amelia is Adam’s better half, and she works at a dog shelter. Adam is a screenplay writer who adjusts books for the screen. Later in the book, Rachel comes on as a third storyteller. She lives close to Amelia and Adam’s place of vacation. Each character is grown sufficient that no mysteries are given away before their time. But I should must say that it was not even done so well that I felt like I knew them. Anyway I was good with this very focused development since I understood it was the cost for those flavoured mischievous twists and turns.
Overall “Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney” is a captivating read. I am wondering how long I will have to wait for another novel from this talented author!
