The Predator vs. Black Panther comic miniseries delivered an intense, action-packed crossover that saw Wakanda battling against one of the deadliest alien hunters in existence. Spanning four issues, the story explored what happens when a rogue Predator clan invades Wakanda, seeking to claim the nation’s most valuable resource—vibranium. With high-stakes combat, shocking twists, and an unforgettable ending, this series pushed both Black Panther and Wakanda to their limits.

Issue #1: The Predators Invade Wakanda

The first issue set the stage for a thrilling conflict as a clan of Predators infiltrated Wakanda, seeking vibranium. Their leader, a young warrior desperate to prove himself, planned to use the metal to overthrow his father and brother, who had always looked down on him. As the invasion unfolded, the Predators quickly demonstrated their ruthless efficiency. They reprogrammed Wakanda’s force field, locking out Shuri and causing her ship to crash, seemingly killing her. Meanwhile, on the ground, Black Panther and the Dora Milaje found themselves being hunted, with Wakanda transformed into a gruesome hunting ground.

Issue #2: Black Panther Fights Back

The second issue dived deeper into the battle for Wakanda. The Dora Milaje, led by Ayo, realized something was terribly wrong as all communications had gone silent. As they scouted the jungle, they were ambushed by the cloaked Predators, leading to a brutal confrontation. One of the warriors was captured and executed, their head severed and displayed as a trophy. However, the Dora Milaje retaliated, killing one of the Predators.

Black Panther, having survived multiple plasma blasts due to his vibranium weave suit, regained consciousness and assessed the situation. He discovered a captured Dora Milaje bound by a wire mesh trap that threatened to slice through her flesh. After freeing her, he encountered his first dead Predator, confirming the terrifying enemy they faced. He soon engaged in combat, using his superior senses to locate a cloaked Predator before delivering a devastating kick that disabled its technology. The battle ended when a crocodile dragged the Predator into the river, forcing Black Panther to finish it off with a vibranium blade.

Meanwhile, Shuri survived her ship crash and attempted to regain access to Wakanda’s security system, but the Predators had overridden it. As she worked on a solution, she received a horrifying vision from her ally Magikina, who warned that he could see the death of Wakanda. As she tried to react, a Predator scout arrived, pulling her through the perimeter by the neck.

Issue #3: The Great Mound Falls

The third issue escalated the conflict as the Predator clan leader reached the Great Mound, Wakanda’s primary vibranium source. As he beheld its vast reserves, he envisioned using the metal to create weapons, warships, and armor, making him the ultimate Predator. His warriors immediately began mining the vibranium.

Meanwhile, Ayo and Black Panther launched a counterattack, eliminating several Predators. Black Panther declared that they had to stop the invaders at the Great Mound, realizing the true threat the Predators posed. Elsewhere, Shuri battled against her captor, using the Predator’s own spear to fight back. Despite sustaining injuries, she managed to kill the Predator and used its helmet to send a distress signal. Her call for help was answered by Falcon, who happened to be nearby on a mission.

At the same time, Black Panther had a vision of his grandfather in the astral plane, revealing that Wakanda had fought the Predators before. His grandfather explained that their cloaking technology had influenced Wakanda’s own perimeter shield. He warned that if the Predators succeeded in claiming the vibranium, nothing would remain of Wakanda but ashes and bones.

Issue #4: The Climactic Battle

The final issue brought the battle to its peak as Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, and Wakanda’s warriors stormed the Great Mound. However, they fell into a Predator trap, with deadly mines and drones cutting down their forces. One of the War Dogs was killed in a gruesome fashion, his limbs severed by laser traps.

Outside Wakanda’s borders, Shuri and Falcon devised a plan to use the Predator’s own technology against them. Shuri hacked into the Predator’s systems, allowing her to infiltrate their communications. She and Falcon then launched an aerial assault on the Predator ship as it attempted to escape with the stolen vibranium.

Inside the mines, Black Panther and Ayo faced off against the Predator king. Black Panther realized this was the true battle, the fight that would determine Wakanda’s fate. He deactivated his vibranium armor to fight on equal terms, believing that honor demanded it. The two leaders clashed in a fierce spear battle, with Black Panther gaining the upper hand and forcing the Predator king to yield. However, in a desperate act of defiance, the Predator used his wrist blade to sever Black Panther’s leg, leaving him critically wounded.

The Predator clan then began their retreat, believing they had won by securing the vibranium. However, Shuri and Falcon had one last move—Shuri planted an explosive device on the Predator ship before it reached orbit. As the ship exploded, the Predator leader’s last transmission warned his father and brother that he was coming home with “god metal” and blood. The transmission, however, was the only thing that survived the explosion.

The Aftermath: Wakanda’s Defeat and What’s Next

Despite their efforts, Wakanda effectively lost the battle. The Predators succeeded in stealing vibranium, and Black Panther was left grievously injured, having lost a leg. Meanwhile, the Predator king and his favorite son received the final transmission, now in possession of enough vibranium to build an advanced arsenal that could rival Earth’s most powerful forces.

The shocking ending sets the stage for future conflicts, including the upcoming Predator vs. Spider-Man series in 2025. With Wakanda left vulnerable and the Predators growing stronger, it’s clear that the war is far from over.
