Lee Cronin, the director behind the hit horror film Evil Dead Rise, has been tapped to write and direct a fresh reimagining of The Mummy for New Line Cinema. James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville are leading the production, with Cronin’s label Doppelgängers also involved. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Macdara Kelleher will serve as executive producers, while Alayna Glasthal will oversee the project for Atomic Monster. The film will be co-financed by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
