Release Date Shift
Originally slated for a March 2024 release, “The New Empire” has now been rescheduled to April 12, 2024. The delay, presumably due to industry-wide strikes, has only heightened the anticipation for this monstrous showdown.
Emphasizing the importance of the cinematic experience, “The New Empire” will premiere exclusively in theaters. This move marks a significant return to form for the franchise, as “Godzilla vs. Kong” had a limited theatrical release due to the global pandemic, eventually finding its way to HBO Max.
