The latest chapter of the Dawn of DC Titans run, “In the Name of Blood!” (Part 3 of Out of the Shadows), ramps up the stakes as the team investigates the supposedly reformed Church of Blood—now calling itself the Church of Eternity. With the future murder of The Flash (Wally West) looming just 48 hours away, the Titans are racing against time and a shifting global landscape. Here is a page-by-page breakdown of Down of DC Titans #3 (2025).
The Stealth Mission: A Not-So-Peaceful Church
The issue opens with the Titans analyzing the catastrophic blast in Borneo, which has been linked to Tamaranean energy. While they want to help, they can’t ignore the fact that their old friend Garth (Tempest) has joined the Church of Eternity, a group they know is too dangerous to trust regardless of their rebranding.
Raven and Beast Boy (Gar) lead a stealthy infiltration of the Church’s headquarters. Gar uses a swarm of ants to disable security while Raven ensures they aren’t detected by cameras. Their goal is simple: find evidence that Brother Eternity isn’t as benevolent as he claims in public.

The stealth doesn’t last long. They stumble upon a dark ritual where cultists are chanting “All for you” to Trigon—Raven’s demonic father. They witness a priest attempting to sacrifice a person into a demonic pool of blood to harness dark power. Disappointed but not surprised, the duo jumps into action, with Raven declaring that they are officially “past stealth”.
Wally West’s 48-Hour Warning
Back at Titans Tower, a heated argument breaks out. Cyborg has analyzed the future body of The Flash and determined a chilling fact: Wally is scheduled to die within the next 48 hours.

Donna Troy and the rest of the team insist that Wally stays behind for his own safety. However, Wally refuses to sit idly by while his friends risk their lives. He argues that he won’t let them face “mad gods and demons” alone, and despite Nightwing’s disapproval, he joins the fray.
Chaos at the Church
The full team arrives at the Church of Eternity to find Raven and Gar fighting super-strong zealots empowered by the blood pool. Amidst the chaos, they find Garth. When Nightwing tells him his new friends “suck,” Garth defends them, insisting they aren’t what they seem—though he asks the Titans to just keep everyone alive until things are worked out.

The situation takes a turn when Brother Eternity himself appears alongside Garth. He claims the human sacrifice ritual was a result of a “difficult transition period” and that he was actually the one about to be sacrificed by a faction unsatisfied with his new direction. He plays the victim, thanking the Titans for their help and insisting the Church will handle the matter internally.
A Friend Lost to Ideology
Nightwing and the team aren’t buying it. They want to call the authorities, but Brother Eternity argues that no government agency should have access to the demonic blood pool. Raven ultimately uses her powers to seal the pool so it can never be accessed again.

The real tragedy strikes when the Titans try to bring Garth home. Garth refuses, revealing his deep disillusionment with humanity. He believes the world is ruled by greed and ignorance and that the planet is on a path to destruction. He supports Brother Eternity’s plan for humanity to leave Earth, stating he no longer believes the world can survive its people.
The Cliffhanger: The Meteor and the Ruse
An hour later at the Tower, the team debriefs. Raven notes that while Garth felt angry and frustrated, Brother Eternity’s emotions were “strangely blank”.
Wally then reveals a major find: during the chaos, he searched the entire Church building in seconds. He found a mysterious meteor hidden in a secret room and brought it back to the Tower. It isn’t hellish in origin, but it clearly has Brother Eternity worried.

The issue ends on a sinister note. Back at the Church, Brother Eternity speaks to Garth, revealing that the day’s events were largely a “ruse” and that Garth played his part well. He tells Garth to “open wide” and informs him, “You’re going to visit your friends.”.
