Filming on water introduced practical concerns, such as how the wig would behave when wet. The solution, however, came with its own cost—the wig alone gained nearly seven extra pounds when soaked, adding to the physical strain during long shooting days.
Johnson described the experience as grueling, especially under the heat of the costume. Between takes, multiple crew members were needed just to help cool him down—adjusting the suit, managing the hair, and using fans to make the conditions manageable.

Losing weight was not an option, as it would have disrupted the character’s proportions—particularly around the neck, where the illusion of size could easily break.
