In the shadowed, derelict corners of the Marvel and 20th Century Studios universe, a new saga of survival and vengeance begins. Alien: King Killer (2026) introduces us to a world where the Xenomorph threat is no longer a distant nightmare but a crushing, daily reality. Written by Saladin Ahmed with art by Carlos Nieto, this debut issue sets the stage for a high-stakes rebellion against both monsters and men.

The Wastes of Sovryn: A Scavenger’s Life

The story opens on the colony world of Sovryn, a planet that has been largely overrun by the Xenomorph infestation. Outside the sanctuary of the “Three Cities,” the landscape is a desolate “Xeno-hunting ground”. We are introduced to two survivors: an old man affectionately called “Gramps” and a young boy named Mouse. As they trek through the ruins, Gramps tries to offer the boy a moment of wonder, pointing out the beauty of the sky—the one thing the aliens haven’t managed to corrupt.

Their purpose in these dangerous wastes is survival, but it is a survival dictated by a higher power. On Page 4, they find a rare prize: an old wrist communicator. While Gramps sees it as a valuable piece of tech for parts, Mouse sees it as another “tribute” for the Red King. The dialogue here reveals the oppressive political climate of Sovryn; the Red King forces the desperate populace into the wastes to “hoard more junk for himself” while they risk their lives against the Xenomorphs. Gramps warns Mouse to keep his rebellious thoughts to himself, as the King’s men would kill him for such talk.

The Sound of Death

The quiet moment of scavenging is shattered by a sound every survivor on Sovryn fears: “HSSSSS”. A Xenomorph has found them. The tension escalates rapidly on Page 5 and 6 as Gramps realizes they are cornered. Knowing the boy’s only chance is a distraction, Gramps makes a heroic and heartbreaking choice. He commands Mouse to “run like hell,” staying behind to draw the creature’s attention. Gramps shouts at the “creepy bug bastard,” exposing himself to the monster to give the boy a head start.

On Pages 7 through 9, the horror is visceral. Mouse flees toward “the wall” of the city, but the sounds of the struggle—the “CRRRRROOOOAAAK” and his grandfather’s screams—tell a grim story. Mouse looks back to see Gramps being taken, leaving the boy alone and cornered by the apex predator. Just as the Xenomorph closes in for the kill on Page 9, a silhouette appears.

The Arrival of Idris

Page 10 marks the entrance of the series’ protagonist, Idris. With a swift “SHINK,” he kills the Xenomorph that was about to consume Mouse. This act is revolutionary to the boy; on Sovryn, the propaganda claims that only the Red King is strong enough to kill Xenos. Idris, a stoic wanderer, dismisses this myth, telling Mouse not to believe everything he hears.

As Idris cleans the alien blood from his sword, we learn more about his capabilities. His weapon is made of anti-corrosive treated carbon steel, specifically designed to slice through the acidic hide of a Xenomorph. Mouse, desperate and newly orphaned, begs to accompany Idris back to the city. Idris initially refuses, viewing the boy as a potential hindrance to his “job,” but Mouse’s plea about the unfairness of their lives under the Red King seems to resonate with the wanderer.

Shadows of the Past: The Good Doctor’s Legacy

Between the action, the comic weaves in cryptic flashbacks or mental projections that hint at Idris’ origins. We see a figure known as “The Good Doctor” addressing a group of “children” named Red, White, Blue, and Green. The Doctor speaks of Sovryn as a place founded for the “pure pursuit of knowledge,” free from government and corporate greed. He calls these children the “most beautiful result” of his research—a “meeting of worlds”. These sequences suggest that Idris and the “Three Kings” may be products of the same twisted experiment.

Into the Lion’s Den

Despite his initial reluctance, Idris allows Mouse to follow him. As they approach the city, Mouse warns him that most people would turn him in to the Red King, who is viewed by some as a hero for keeping the Xenos at bay. Idris reveals his true intent: he isn’t working for the King; he is there to kill him.

Pages 17 through 21 show Idris’ approach to the Red King’s palace. He utilizes high-tech camouflage to move through the city, though he is plagued by mental interference—voices in his head that he has to fight off. When he is finally confronted by the King’s guards, he doesn’t hesitate. He tells them he is only there for the King and that they can live if they walk away. When they refuse, he dispatches them with ease, demonstrating a level of combat prowess that borders on the superhuman.

Brother vs. Brother: The First King

The issue reaches its climax on Page 22 when the Red King, named Amir, finally appears. He doesn’t greet Idris as an assassin, but as a “little brother”. The dialogue between them confirms their shared past under the Good Doctor. Amir taunts Idris, asking if he has come for revenge after being driven out and hunted.

Idris, however, claims he is not there for revenge. He is there to “erase the good doctor’s sick legacy” by killing the Kings one by one. Amir dismisses Idris as a “scared brat” throwing a tantrum and argues that his rule is the only thing keeping the populace alive. He views Idris’ refusal to embrace his true nature as a weakness.

The battle begins on Page 25. Amir is not just a figurehead; he is a formidable combatant who understands exactly what Idris is. He goads Idris, telling him he is “too weak to claim your own power” and to “face what you are”. As they clash, the Red King delivers a chilling reminder of their “father’s” teachings: “the price of weakness… IS DEATH!”.

The issue ends on this cliffhanger, with the “TO BE CONTINUED…” promise of a brutal showdown in the next installment.
