The upcoming superhero movie “Madame Web” achieves longest Runtime in Sony’s Spider-Man Series. Starring Dakota Johnson, this movie is all set to become the longest film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. Guess how long it is? It’s 1 hour and 56 minutes! That’s right, almost two hours of superhero action. This beats the previous record-holder, “Venom” from 2018, which was 112 minutes long. Other movies like “Morbius” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” were shorter, at 104 and 97 minutes respectively. So, get ready for an extra-long adventure with Madame Web!

Madame Web is a cool character from the Spider-Man Comics. She first showed up in a comic book in 1980, created by Denny O’Neil and John Romita Jr. Her real name is Cassandra Webb, and she has special powers like seeing the future. She’s been an important character in Spider-Man’s story. Later, a character named Julia Carpenter took over as Madame Web.

In the upcoming movie, Dakota Johnson will play Cassandra Webb, and Sydney Sweeney will play Julia Carpenter, also known as Spider-Woman. There will be other characters too, like Anya Corazon (played by Isabela Merced), Mattie Franklin (played by Celeste O’Connor), and Ezekiel Sims (played by Tahar Rahim). The movie also stars Emma Roberts, Adam scott, Zosia Mamet, and Mike Epps, but we don’t know yet who they’ll be playing. There are guesses that Roberts and Scott might play Spider-Man’s relatives.

“Madame Web” is the fourth movie in the SSU, which is all about characters related to Spider-Man. Before this, we had “Venom,” “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” and “Morbius.” After “Madame Web,” two more SSU movies are coming in 2024: “Kraven the Hunter” in August and “Venom 3” in November. There are also two TV Series being made for Amazon Prime Video, called “Silk: Spider Society” and “Spider-Man Noir.”

The person who directed “Madame Web,” S.J. Clarkson, is doing her first big movie after working on TV shows like Netflix’s “Jessica Jones” and “The Defenders.” “Madame Web” will be in theaters on February 14, 2024, and it seems like it will be a big deal for Spider-Man fans and for Sony’s universe of superhero movies and shows.
