She currently teaches Black Horror and Afrofuturism at UCLA. The African Immortals Series is a four-part novel series.
The first book of the series is entitled My Soul to Keep, followed by The Living Blood, The Blood Colony, and finally, My Soul To Take. In the first book, we are introduced to the main female character, Jessica, and her newly wedded husband, David. While everything in her life seemed to be fine in the beginning, slowly people close to her started dying for mysterious reasons.
