Years ago, in the shadows of a familiar church tower, Peter Parker rejected the Venom symbiote, which then found solace in the vengeful embrace of Eddie Brock. Or so the story goes. But there’s another side to this tale. Rising stars Jeremy Holt (Marvel’s Voices: Spider-Verse) and Jesús Hervás (Marvel: Unleashed) offer a fresh perspective in their latest comic, What if… Venom …Had Bonded to She-Hulk? This gripping narrative dives deep into the psyche of Marvel’s most notorious symbiote, reimagining its early days with a host whose rage and temperament are entirely distinct from Eddie Brock’s.

What if… Venom …Had Bonded to She-hulk?

The story begins in New York City, where She-Hulk is diligently working in her office. As she leaves, she notices a man running into a church with a gun and decides to follow him. Inside, she finds Eddie Brock, despondent and contemplating suicide over his ruined life, blaming Spider-Man for his downfall. Before Eddie can harm himself, She-Hulk intervenes, but their encounter is interrupted by Venom, who finds a new host in She-Hulk, drawn to her unique anger and strength.

She-Hulk soon realizes the symbiote’s presence as Venom takes control, leading to sleepless nights and disrupted workdays. Despite her exhaustion, she continues to balance her superhero duties and her job as a lawyer, unaware of Venom’s growing influence.

The chaos escalates when She-Hulk, now bonded with Venom, faces threats like Sabretooth and other challenges that push her to her limits. As she struggles with Venom’s control and her own responsibilities, a chance encounter with a stranger suggests that Moon Knight might be the key to her salvation.

In this thrilling reimagining, the boundaries between hero and symbiote blur, creating a gripping narrative that explores the depths of rage, power, and the fight for control. Dive into this new take on Venom’s origins and witness the symbiote’s sinister influence unfold in unexpected ways.
