The Qiddiya Investment Company in Saudi Arabia has announced plans to bring the fantastical world of “Dragon Ball” to life. This ambitious project marks the creation of the world’s first theme park dedicated to the beloved anime franchise, a revelation that was shared with eager fans last Friday.
Spanning over 500,000 square meters, the “Dragon Ball” theme park is poised to be a sprawling haven for anime enthusiasts and adventurers alike. With meticulous attention to detail, the park plans to recreate seven iconic locales from the series, ensuring a fully immersive experience.
Visitors will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the series’ protagonist, Goku, embarking on a journey that spans from the earliest days of “Dragon Ball” to the latest episodes of “Dragon Ball Super.”
The ambition behind this project is evident in its offerings. The park will feature five state-of-the-art rides among its more than 30 attractions, promising a blend of adrenaline-pumping excitement and nostalgic exploration. But perhaps the most jaw-dropping of these attractions is the 70-meter-high statue of Shenron, the magical dragon synonymous with the “Dragon Ball” series. This colossal structure will not only dominate the park’s skyline but also house a large rollercoaster ride, promising to be a centerpiece attraction.
Beyond the thrills and spills, the park will cater to the needs of visitors looking to extend their stay in this magical world. Several hotels and restaurants are planned, ensuring that guests can relax and refuel in comfort after a day of adventure.
To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Qiddiya released a video on their YouTube channel, showcasing a rendition of the park. The preview has sparked immense excitement, highlighting the meticulous planning and creative vision that is going into making this theme park a reality.
For “Dragon Ball” fans, it represents a dream come true – an opportunity to live out the adventures of Goku and his friends in a way that was previously only possible in the imagination.
