KID VENOM: ORIGINS: In the year 977, during the Heian Period of Japan, a small farming village faced a terrifying threat. An “oni” – a monstrous bear controlled by a sinister red and black symbiote – was wreaking havoc. Amidst the chaos, one brave villager urged his daughter, Kaya, to lead the other children to safety and seek help from the samurai in the capital. Despite his courageous words, Kaya knew deep down that her father and the other adults were unlikely to survive the attack.

KID VENOM: ORIGINS (Comic Stories)

As the oni smashed through the village gate, a roar of terror echoed through the air. Just as it lunged at the villagers, a boy about Kaya’s age intervened, delivering a powerful kick to the creature’s face, momentarily halting its rampage. The boy introduced himself as Kintaro, a future legendary samurai from the capital, and apologized for his late arrival.

The villagers watched in awe as the oni began to regenerate. Undeterred, Kintaro warned them to stay back. He revealed his own secret weapon – an “oni” symbiote named Clinter that resided within him. With a commanding voice, Kintaro urged Clinter to awaken, signaling the start of his transformation. As he prepared to face the fearsome creature, Kintaro declared that it was time for a battle, leaving the villagers with a glimmer of hope amidst their fear.
