Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of The Daily Wire, has announced his decision to step down as co-CEO to dedicate his time to the company’s creative projects. This transition, effective immediately, was revealed in an email to staff and first reported by Axios. Boreing will continue to serve in an advisory role while also hosting “Daily Wire Backstage,” the company’s monthly political and social commentary show featuring Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan.

Caleb Robinson Takes the Helm as Sole CEO

Following Boreing’s departure from the executive position, Caleb Robinson, the company’s founding CEO, will assume full leadership. Robinson originally held the CEO position from The Daily Wire’s inception in 2015 until 2019, when he and Boreing became co-CEOs. With Robinson now taking sole responsibility, the company aims to continue its expansion and dominance in digital media.

Boreing’s Legacy: From Startup to Media Giant

Boreing’s tenure at The Daily Wire has been instrumental in its evolution from a small conservative news startup to a media powerhouse. Founded in 2015 by Boreing, Robinson, and Ben Shapiro with $4.7 million in seed funding, the company grew to an estimated valuation of over $1 billion as of last year.

Boreing’s leadership played a significant role in the company’s commercial expansion. His strategic vision helped transform The Daily Wire from a social media-focused publishing platform into a major player in streaming and e-commerce. Under his guidance, the company launched Daily Wire+, a subscription-based streaming service, and Bentkey, a children’s entertainment platform.

Focus on Creative Ventures and “The Pendragon Cycle”

With his new role, Boreing will channel his efforts into The Daily Wire’s creative ventures, particularly “The Pendragon Cycle,” a highly anticipated TV series. As director and executive producer, Boreing has been deeply involved in the project, which is based on a reimagining of Arthurian legends. The series, filmed in Hungary and Italy, represents The Daily Wire’s commitment to expanding into entertainment.

Boreing’s shift toward content creation is not new. In recent years, he has been involved in several film projects, including “Lady Ballers,” a film he directed and co-wrote, and “What Is a Woman?” and “Am I Racist?”, two successful productions that challenged mainstream narratives. His Hollywood experience positions him well to lead The Daily Wire’s entertainment ambitions.

Looking Ahead: The Future of The Daily Wire

With Robinson now at the helm, The Daily Wire is poised to continue its rapid expansion. The company has significantly broadened its scope beyond news, aiming to establish itself as a dominant force in the digital entertainment space. Ben Shapiro acknowledged Boreing’s contributions, stating, “Jeremy’s hard work and brilliant leadership have been indispensable to the growth of this company from an idea to the largest conservative digital media company in the country.”

Robinson also expressed enthusiasm for the company’s next phase, emphasizing that Boreing’s creative projects would only strengthen The Daily Wire’s entertainment sector. “We couldn’t be more excited for this next phase of The Daily Wire’s growth and for Jeremy as he pursues the completion of Pendragon… the best is yet to come,” he said.

Boreing’s Final Words as Co-CEO

In his farewell statement, Boreing reflected on his time in executive leadership and his excitement for the future: “I will greatly miss the day in and day out of fighting the left and building the future with all of you, but I’m confident we will continue to thrive under Caleb’s ongoing leadership.”

As The Daily Wire moves forward with new leadership and an expanded entertainment portfolio, Boreing’s creative influence will remain a driving force behind the company’s evolution. His decision to step away from daily management highlights The Daily Wire’s commitment to innovation and growth in both political media and entertainment.
