DC Comics has unveiled a thrilling new chapter in the Batman saga with the upcoming series “Batman: The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween.” This highly anticipated series promises to captivate fans with its compelling story and stunning cover art, featuring contributions from both legendary and contemporary artists.

A Tribute to Tim Sale

The main covers for the new series are a tribute to the late Tim Sale, one of the original creators of “The Long Halloween.” Sale’s iconic style has left an indelible mark on the Batman universe, and his artwork continues to resonate with fans. For “The Last Halloween,” Sale’s contributions include the cover art for the first three issues, prominently featuring Batman. This homage ensures that Sale’s legacy endures, infusing the series with a sense of continuity and respect for its origins.

Revelations at Fan Expo Dallas

During a panel at Fan Expo Dallas, series writer Jeph Loeb revealed the cover art for issues #2-6 and the variants for issues #2-4. This event was a significant moment for fans, offering a glimpse into the visual direction of the new series. The covers for issues #5 and #6, also created by Sale, spotlight two of Gotham’s most notorious villains: the Joker and Two-Face. These covers are set to become iconic additions to the Batman mythos, capturing the dark and complex nature of Gotham’s criminal underworld.
