Pieces of Her (March 4)
Pieces of Her is a thriller drama created by Charlotte Stoudt and directed by Minkie Spiro. This series is based on a 2018 novel written by Karin Slaughter of a similar title. It follows the tale of Andy who is caught in a horrifying mass shooting and her mother violently tackles the threat with ease. From that incident, Andy saw her mother in a different light as that incident disclosed buried pasts. The main actors of this series include Toni Collette, Omari Hardwick, Jessica Barden, Bella Heathcote, Joe Dempsie, David Wenham, and Jacob Scipio.
Bridgerton Season 2 (March 25)
This American TV period dream was directed by created by Chris Van Dusen. It is set in the cutthroat world of London’s Regency era as written by Julia Quinn. It originally debuted on December 25, 2020, on Netflix. Season two was renewed on January 2021 and set to release on March 25, 2022. During April 2021 Van Dusen tweeted that Bridgerton had additionally been renewed seasons 3 and 4.
The plot of the story is set against the Regency era, the Bridgerton siblings named Anthony, Colin, Hyacinth, Eloise, Benedict, Daphne, Gregory, and Francesca; the siblings navigate the London society in search of love, surrounded by rivals and friends alike. Each of the episodes (there are a total of 8 episodes) of this series is narrated by actress Julie Andrews who gave the voice of Lady Whistledown, a scandalous newsletter columnist who has all the information in London, which draws everyone’s interest including Queen Charlotte. Some of the primary actors of this series are Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Ruby Barker, Jonathan Bailey, Harriet Cains, Phoebe Dynevor, Bessie Carter, Sabrina Bartlett, Nicola Coughlan, Ben Miller, and more.
Mothering Sunday (March 25)
The movie was originally released in 2021 and will be released on the OTT (over-the-top platforms such as Netflix) platform on March 25, 2022. It is directed by Eva Husson and based on the novel of the same name as the title written by Graham Swift. It stars actors like Odessa Young, Colin Firth, Josh O’Connor, Glenda Jackson, Sope Dirisu, and Olivia Colman. The movie was world premiere on July 9, 2021, at the Cannes Film Festival.
The maid of the Niven family, Jane Fairchild is given a day off on Mothering Sunday to have a day of her kind. To Jane’s surprise, Paul Sheringham, one of their wealthy neighbours invited her over to spend the day with him while his parents have lunch with the Hobdays. They had a sexual relationship from the beginning of her arrival on Paul’s estate. However, Paul is due to marry Emma Hobday, who was engaged to his late brother James before he died in The Great War. Emma and Paul have complex feelings regarding this marriage but s they are compelled to marry each other. Later Jane will become a writer and the story will reveal certain incidents that made her what she is today.
