They conquered most of the land and created their vast empire. Eventually these acts of the Deviants resulted in creating mayhem and destruction in the Deviants homeland. The Celestials destroyed Lemuria and Atlantis. Somehow the Deviants survived but lost their Kingdom and supremacy on the Planet.

The Eternals

They are a human-like appearing race who have access to godly powers. They often get mistaken for Gods because of their powers. Unlike their counterparts the Deviants, the Eternals focus on helping the improving the civilization of humans. The Eternals are almost immortal in nature. There are multiple generations of Eternals. The First Generation of Eternals consist of heroes like Arlok, Astron, Daina, Master Elo, Oceanus, Shastra, Thyrio, Uranos and Kronos. Whereas the other generations have some notable figures like Ikaris, Ajak, Phastos, Thena, Sprite, El Vampiro, Aurelle, Khoryphos and Thanos.

The origin and history of the Celestials is quite complicated as the Marvel Universe hasn’t unfolded all the layers of their origin and history. But has given sufficient information and hints to understand the cosmic beings’ origin and history. First of all whenever we look at the Celestials we should not isolate them and look at their origin separately. As the storyline and pilot of the Eternals, Deviants and Celestials. Is interconnected and should be analyzed as a whole. Initially the Celestials were referred to as ‘Space Gods’ but with time it was established they aren’t Gods but are cosmic beings with godly powers.

However, in the later issues of the Marvel Comics it was revealed that the Celestials themselves have a creator: the First Firmament, a living embodiment of the very first universe. The desire of Celestials to allow their creation to live and evolve on its own led to an epic war between the Celestials and their counterpart ‘Aspirants’. This war between the two was so devastating that it shattered the First Firmament.
