The Final Girl Support Group: By Grady Hendrix Is A Good Horror Thriller

The Final Girl Support Group By Grady Hendrix is a good Horror Thriller. This is a fast-paced novel that is loaded with exciting twists and mystery. The premise of this extraordinary horror, mystery novel, is that the last survivors of horror film stories (Final Girls) get together in group meetings. In this group meeting they used to talk about their issues, until something horrible happens, once more.

The Final Girl Support Group: By Grady Hendrix Is A Good Horror Thriller

Six last surviving girls meet in secret with their therapist to talk over their encounters and backing one another. Indeed, there are conflicts, fallings out and a great deal of bickering, however the ladies have something which bonds them together and Lynnette, in particular, discovers comfort in the gatherings. Until one day, one of them fails to go to the meeting. After a short time, it becomes clear that their secret gatherings are now not left secret. Lynnette is convinced somebody has their sights set on the gathering. Presently, she should simply persuade the others and make it, in one piece, as far as possible…

The book is loaded up with references to slasher films, from the names and histories of each of the “characters” to the chapter titles. However, the book is to a lesser degree a slasher story and to a greater extent a secret, as Lynette attempts to sort out who is after her and other group members. While the actual story is solid, the fun truly comes from the homages and Easter eggs planted all through the novel. Readers who don’t know about the Friday the thirteenth, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and some others. They may not like this novel as much as those individuals who are.

The Final Girl Support Group By Grady Hendrix isn’t all fun and games, though. Actually, these women are dealing with the trauma of their experiences. This is a subject that most horror franchises don’t actually deal with.

It is a page-turner that kept me up way past my bedtime. The Final Girl Support Group is a fast-paced, fun ride. In addition to that, it is also thought-provoking and character-driven. The twists inside the story kept me guessing until the end, and I was a little disappointed it was over. If you enjoyed your slasher movies, this novel is a good read for you.
